More Sketches

I tried to have one of my kids take a pic of me holding a sketch, didn't really work, but my hair looked good so I thought I would add it. 

Here are the sketches scanned in (I have a hard time making the pencil visible any other way).

Back at It!

I am posting again after way too long of a break! Tomorrow is my twins last day of school. I don't know if that will mean I will have more or less time to sketch, but I am looking forward to some summer days with my kids!

I did these sketches yesterday and today. I wasn't too careful scanning them, but I figured you could see the sketches well enough. I will eventually paint them in acrylic, but of course they are part of a story and I have decided to sketch the whole story first, then go back and paint it all.

Painted in watercolor, this an Arizona LDS Temple. It is where my husband and I got married!

Progress Report

The face is starting to take shape, but this is just the beginning. There are SO many things I need to fix! It is just the starting point. That is why I chose oils for this painting though, I can rework, and retouch, and reshape until it is how I want it!

Sketch Complete!

It is hard to crank out the art now that I am doing a portrait, those take time! But, I have finished the sketching portion of my painting that will show my husband holding our third child. Tonight I will start with the oils!

Beginning to Sketch

I am starting a rough sketch of my husband holding our third child. It is part three of four in the series (he has already been painted holding each of our twins). Nothing sweeter than a father and his baby!
